Nick Savvides specialises in the container industry and maritime technology. He joined <em>The Loadstar</em> from <em>Container News</em>, where he was the managing editor. He was previously chief European correspondent of <em>FreightWaves</em>, markets and technical editor for <em>Fairplay</em> and editor of <em>The Naval Architect</em>, having also worked for <em>Containerisation International</em>’s news site, <em>ci-online</em> and <em>International Freighting Weekly</em>. He has had a 30-year career covering the maritime industry.
