The ASD tug T.Damla 6, the first of two 19-metre shallow draught ASD tugs, has been delivered to its owner.

The vessel was designed by Macduff Ship Design from Scotland and built by RMK Marine of Turkey. The pair has already collaborated on seven new vessels, all of which have been delivered to the same owner.

The second tug and final vessel of the contract is nearing completion and will be delivered this summer.

With a bollard pull in excess of 24 tonnes and a draught of three metres, the vessel is designed as a multi-role ASD harbour tug.

The vessel is propelled by two Berg MTA 316 ASD units which are driven by Caterpillar C32 main engines, rated at 746kW at 1,800rpm.
