The Hellenic Coast Guard recently took delivery of a new ambulance boat from Denmark-based Viking Life-Saving Equipment.

The vessel is the first unit in a planned series of three that will be operated by the coast guard primarily to provide emergency medical transport for residents of Naxos in the Cyclades Islands.

The boat has seating for up to 10 people and is powered by two Mercury 275kW engines that deliver a maximum speed of 45 knots at full load and a cruising speed of 35 knots.
