The Nigeria Ports Authority recently took delivery of two new pilot boats in a series from Turkish builder Med Marine.

The Camarc-designed PC Obonoma and PC Badariya each have steel hulls and aluminium superstructures. The hulls also feature a double chine design for improved seakeeping even when sailing at a service speed of 22 knots.

The boats each have an LOA of 16.5 metres, a beam of 4.8 metres, a draught of 1.3 metres, and seating for two crewmembers and six pilots. Accommodations include a mess, a galley, a toilet, a two-person cabin, and a stores locker.
