New boat delivered to Dutch Pilotage Service

The Dutch Pilotage Service (Nederlands Loodswezen) took delivery of a new vessel from local builder Next Generation Shipyards on Thursday, April 2.

The €3.5 million (US$3.8 million) newbuild, which was christened Mira that same day, is the first of a planned five vessels expected to join the Loodswezen fleet beginning this year.

Mira has a length of 22 metres and is capable of speeds of up to 30 knots.
