Swedish ferry company Stena Line is set to expand its operations across the Baltic Sea region beginning next year.
The current vessels on the Nynäshamn-Ventspils route will be replaced with the two modern and lengthened Ro-Pax ferries Stena Lagan (pictured) and Stena Mersey, which will also add a further 30 per cent freight capacity.
The conversion work on Stena Lagan and Stena Mersey is being carried out by Stena RoRo and Sedef Shipyard in Turkey. The ferries will have capacity for 970 passengers and 2,875 lane metres for freight as well as hybrid scrubbers.
