This month's focus on the passenger vessel sector includes reviews of vessels built for four operators in Asia and one in the United States. In China, we see newbuilds delivered to customers in the large ferry and tourism segments. In eastern Japan, a new ferry has entered service on the route between Hachinohe and Tomakomai.
A South Korean ferry operator has meanwhile begun sailings of a new mid-size catamaran Ro-Pax boasting impressive capacity and high speed. Finally, a well-known US cruise company has taken delivery of the final one in a series of six large ships ordered from a builder in Italy.
Readers of Baird Maritime are assured of continued coverage as the global passenger vessel sector steadily expands, thanks in part to these vessel deliveries and other related key developments.
– "It is a highly refined, safe, and comfortable ferry that has been designed for day voyages."
– "The new ferries stand out for improved onboard comfort with accommodation spaces featuring an enhanced seating design and layout and a centralised air conditioning system that is also environment-friendly."
