Conrad Shipyard christens Woods Hole ferry

The 'Woods Hole', a 71-metre-long passenger ferry built for the Steamship Authority of Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA was christened at the end of May at Conrad Aluminum in Louisiana, USA.

The ferry has the capacity to carry 384 passengers, 55 automobiles or 10 eighteen-wheel tractor-trailers.

The 'Woods Hole' has a beam of 19.5 metres, a draught of 3.2 metres and a hull depth of 5.4 metres.

The 'Woods Hole' will run its 45-minute route to and from Martha's Vineyard and the community of Woods Hole. The Steamship Authority Ferry schedule lists 14 trips daily.

The vessel offer oversized leather reclining seats, a snack area, conference tables and WIFI stations.
