Northern Ireland-based Artemis Technologies unveiled the first images of a new demonstrator vessel intended to operate as a testbed for the company's proprietary electrically-driven hydrofoil propulsion system.

The vessel will be an 11-metre multi-purpose workboat that will be capable of achieving a top speed of over 30 knots and a range of 60 nautical miles at 25 knots thanks to Artemis' hydrofoil installation.

The system will include hydrofoils, a flight control system, and an electric drivetrain. The installation will enable high-speed sailing without generating any wake or wash, resulting in minimal disruption to the water surface and the surrounding area.
