Sembcorp Marine has confirmed that one of its dormant wholly owned subsidiaries has been dissolved by way of voluntary winding up.

The dissolved subsidiary is SembCorp Holdings (SHL), an entity organised under the laws of the state of Texas, USA.

Meanwhile, Singapore-based Straits Offshore (STOF) and SES Engineering Malaysia (SEMSB), two other dormant wholly owned subsidiaries of Sembcorp, have submitted applications to the Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore and the Companies Commission of Malaysia, respectively, to strike their names off the two bodies' registers.

Sembcorp said the dissolution SHL and the striking off of STOF and SEMSB are part of an internal exercise to rationalise and streamline the group's corporate structure and operations.
