Austal has been awarded a A$126 million (US$85 million) contract to build two Cape-class patrol boats for the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard.

Each patrol boat will have a range of 4,000 nautical miles, a crew of 22, and deck space for two high-speed rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIBs) to be used for intercepting other vessels.

The Cape-class vessels will be delivered in the second half of 2020.
