Nigeria's Lagos State Government has confirmed that construction will soon begin on a new ferry terminal that will serve the city of Lekki and other nearby areas.
Tunji Solaja, public relations manager of local operator Lekki Estate Ferry Terminal, said construction of the new facility will start in September while completion is scheduled within 12 months.
Mr Solaja added that the new terminal will form part of an expanded infrastructure network that seeks to utilise the state's waterways to provide an alternative means of transport for residents and businesses.
