Fugro gains full ownership of UK-based USV manufacturer

Fugro has reached a binding agreement for the acquisition of the remaining shares in Sea-Kit International, a UK-based manufacturer of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs).

Fugro expects the transaction to be completed before the end of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions.

Sea-Kit will continue to provide its clients with USV products, some of which will feature low-emission propulsion systems such as those that run on hydrogen. The unmanned craft built the company are suited for a variety of roles including marine research and subsea asset inspection.
