A naming ceremony for 'YM Enlightenment', a 4,662TEU container vessel built for Yang Ming by CSBC Taiwan, was recently held at CSBC's Kaohsiung shipyard in early-January.
The third of five 4,662TEU vessels built for Yang Ming by CSBC, the eco-friendly vessel measures 259 metres in length, 37.3 metres in width, and with a draught of 12.8 metres.
Installed with 400 reefer plugs, the vessel can cruise at a speed up to 22.9 knots.
Part of Yang Ming's ongoing fleet replacement initiative, the 'YM Enlightenment' is to be deployed on the company's CPX Service (China – Pakistan Express).
Her ports of call will be: Shanghai – Ningbo–Shekou – Singapore – Karachi – Mundra – Port Kelang – Singapore – Hong Kong – Shanghai.
