A naming ceremony has been held for the world's biggest rotor tug at the Albwardy Damen yard at Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
Designed by Robert Allan Ltd and Damen Hardinxveld, the 46-metre vessel RT Raven has a bollard pull of more than 100 tonnes.
Owned by the Kotug group, RT Raven will provide offshore services, towage assistance, personnel transfer and standby duties at ConocoPhillips' Bayu Undan field in the Timor Sea.
RT Raven is operated by KT-Maritime Services Australia, which is a joint venture of Kotug International and Teekay Australia.
She will join KT-Maritime's managed fleet of immediate support vessels.
