Svitzer has placed an order for two ice class ASD tugs in a series from Turkish builder Med Marine.
The Robert Allan Ltd-designed vessels will each have an LOA of 30 metres, a beam of 12.6 metres, a maximum draught of 5.6 metres, and a bollard pull of 60 tonnes.
The tugs, which are slated for operations in Germany and Scandinavia, are expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2020 and the first quarter of 2021.
