Scottish operator Forth Ports has placed an order for a new 23-metre ASD tug from Damen Shipyards Group.
The vessel will operate as part of the Forth Estuary Towage operation, conducting towage work at various Forth Ports locations as well as providing towage services to other external customers in Scotland. It will also be used to service customers in the decommissioning and offshore wind sectors.
The tug will have a bollard pull of 70 tonnes and IMO Tier III-compliant main engines.
