The Russian port of Novorossiysk has hosted a naming ceremony for three multi-functional tugs for the Delo Service Company.

The Damen-designed tugs, named Delovoy-1, Delovoy-2 and Delovoy-3, can be deployed for port operations, near-shore mooring operations and towing operations at the continental shelf.

A specific feature of Delovoy-3 is its firefighting equipment.

A fourth tug, Delovoy-4, is scheduled for delivery in November.

The tugs can service 40,000DWT vessels up to 300 metres long.

"The short-term plans of Delo Group include the creation of an in-house towing division, construction of a container berth (Berth No.38) at NUTEP terminal, as well as expanding the capacity of KSK grain terminal", said Delo Group Director General Oleg Nechayev.
