Turkish shipbuilder Sanmar has delivered a Sirapinar ASD-class tug to Rimochitori Napolitani at Naples, Italy.

Named Vivara, the Robert Allan Ltd-designed vessel is an identical sister of the recently delivered tug Marechiaro.

Measuring 22.40 metres overall with a beam of 10.85 metres and maximum draught of 4.67 metres, the two newbuilds for Italy have been built to RINA class and Italian flag requirements and are powered by pairs of 1,500kW Caterpillar engines.

These turn Schottel azimuthing rudderpropellers, resulting in a trials performance of 50.2 tonnes bollard pull and a free-running speed of 12.6 knots.
