NYK Line subsidiaries Wing Maritime Service Corporation and Kaigo Kyogo Corporation have merged to form a single company providing harbour tug services.

The resulting Shin-Nippon Kaiyosha Corporation will provide towage and escort services for Wing Maritime's customers in the Yokohama, Kawasaki, and Chiba areas as well as for Kaigo Kogyo's customers in Tokyo Bay.

The new company's fleet of low-emission vessels includes Sakigake (pictured), the first LNG-fueled tug to be built in Japan.

The planned merger was originally announced in March of this year.
