Jiangsu Zhenjiang delivers ASD tug pair to Gulf of Tonkin operator

Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard two ASD tugs in a series to local operator Guangxi Beibuwan Tugboat Company on Wednesday, July 8.

Xin Bei Bu Wan Gang 16 and Xin Bei Bu Wan Gang 18 each have a length of 36 metres, a beam of 10.4 metres, and a design draught of 3.6 metres. The tugs' total installed power of 2,942 kW delivers a speed of 13.7 knots and a bollard pull of 51 tonnes.

The newbuilds, which were launched last April 7 and April 18, respectively, will be operated in the waters of the Gulf of Tonkin just south of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
