Jensen Maritime Consultants of Seattle has been awarded a contract to design ship assist and escort tugs for New Canaan, Connecticut-based Moran Towing Corporation.

Each tug will have a length of 26 metres, a beam of 10 metres, and two Caterpillar 3512E 1,900kW engines that will deliver a bollard pull of 60 tonnes.

The vessels will be built at Washburn and Doughty's shipyard in East Boothbay, Maine.
