Brazil’s Starnav receives final one of eight tugs from local builder

Brazilian towage provider Starnav Serviços Marítimos has taken delivery of the final one of eight escort tugs ordered from affiliate company Detroit Brasil.

Named Starnav Alpha, the vessel has an LOA of 32 metres, a beam of 11.6 metres, a draught of 4.1 metres, a bollard pull of 80 tonnes, and a maximum speed of 12.5 knots.

The newbuild will operate out of the Port of Rio Grande.
