Sovcomflot and VEB.RF Group have entered into agreements whereby VEB Leasing will finance the construction of three new LNG-fuelled MR tankers.
The vessels will be built at Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex and are scheduled to be delivered during the 2022-2023 timeframe.
The Ice Class 1B tankers will each have a deadweight of 51,000 tonnes and will be used to transport petroleum products and gas condensate under 20-year time charter agreements with Novatek.
