Russia's Okskaya Sudoverf has held a keel-laying ceremony for the fourth Project ROB20 oil barge being built for St Petersburg firm Paula Rise.

Designed by Marine Engineering Bureau, the non-self-propelled loading barge is one of 10 ordered by the State Transport Leasing Company.

Scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2018, the 118.7-metre LOA barges are designed to transport petroleum products with a flashpoint of 600°C and above.

The 6,013DWT vessels each have a cargo capacity of 6,860 cubic metres.
