Asahi MOL Tankers, a product tanker pool operation company formed by Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and Asahi Tanker, began operations on Monday, January 21.
The pool will own a fleet of 25 vessels and allocate these mainly to Asia and Oceania from the three centres of Tokyo, Singapore, and London.
MOL and Asahi have also entered into an agreement to launch MR-type product tankers that will be assigned to the new pool.
