Russia's Okskaya Sudoverf has held keel-laying ceremonies for the fifth and sixth non-self-propelled Project ROB20 tank barges.

Ordered by State Transport Leasing Company, the barges are intended for transportation of petroleum products, including heavy fuel oil, with a flashpoint of 610°C and above.

Featuring double sides and double bottoms, the Marine Engineering Bureau-designed vessels will operate on the Balaya, Kama and Volga rivers.

A series of 10 vessels is being built under a leasing scheme.
