Japan Marine United (JMU) has delivered a new Malacca-max very large crude carrier (VLCC) to MK Centennial Maritime, the Netherlands subsidiary of Meiji Group.
Named Esteem Explorer, the newbuild has an LOA of 339.5 metres, a beam of 60 metres, a deadweight of 312,135 tonnes, and a crew of 30.
Power is provided by one MAN B&W 7G80ME-C9.5 diesel engine.
