Guangzhou Shipyard to build methanol-powered tanker pair for Proman Stena Bulk

Proman Stena Bulk, a joint venture between Sweden's Stena Bulk and Switzerland's Proman Shipping, has finalised an agreement with Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) for the construction of two tankers in a series.

The vessels will have a deadweight of 49,900 tonnes and dual-fuel engines that could also run on methanol.

The first tanker is scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2022.
