Italian shipping company the Fratelli Cosulich Group has formally named its newest bunkering vessel.
Built by Chinese shipyard Zhejiang Shenzhou Sunshine Heavy Industry, Marta Cosulich is an IMO Type II chemical bunker tanker fully equipped to carry methanol and biofuels up to B100 grade. Its area of operations will encompass the Port of Singapore.
The newbuild has an LOA of 103 metres, a beam of 19 metres, and a draught of 4.9 metres. Fratelli Cosulich said the operations of the new ship will comply with the highest standards approved by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), ensuring deliveries are in strict compliance with the Singapore Standard Code of Practice for Bunkering (SS648).
The vessel will be operated by Fratelli Cosulich Marine Energy, the Fratelli Cosulich Group's marine fuel supply business unit.
The bunkering vessel is named after Marta Cosulich, Fratelli Cosulich's current CEO and daughter of former Fratelli Cosulich President Antonio Cosulich.
