Vietnam: The construction of a new anchorage harbour has begun at the My A seaport in the Quang Ngai province.

The My A anchorage harbour will allow 400 ships and boats to anchor safely during stormy seasons. The US$5.16 million project includes funding from the World Bank worth US$3.6 million. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2010.

The new harbour will also work as a place for flood drainage at the lower section of rivers surrounding the areas in the Mo Duc and Duc Pho disctricts.
