Scheduled LNG bunkering begins at Finland’s Hanko port
Published on

A new scheduled bunkering service for LNG-powered ships was recently launched at the Port of Hanko, making it the third Finnish port after Tallinn and Helsinki to provide such services.

Estonian energy company Elenger has begun providing the scheduled truck-to-ship LNG bunkering at Hanko for two vehicle carriers owned by UECC and Tallink's Ro-Pax ferry Megastar.

Elenger expects that, in the following months, bunkering in Hanko will be performed once a week on Fridays. The LNG that will be used at the port for bunkering will be sourced from the Vysotsk LNG plant owned by Russia's Novatek.
