Australia: Nexus Energy has signed an agreement for the build, supply and operation of the Crux liquids project FPSO.
The agreement was signed this month with Single Buoy Moorings (SBM) to enter into a period of exclusive negotiations for the FPSO, Offshore magazine reported.
Nexus acquired the Crux field in January 2006. It is located in exploration permit AC/P23, in the Browse Basin, offshore Western Australia.
SBM, the world's largest provider of floating production systems, already has a good understanding of the project through its involvement in the engineering and design of the gas processing, liquids extraction and compression facilities.
