Tokyo Gas christens LNG carrier pair

Tokyo Gas recently held a naming ceremony for two new LNG carriers being built at Japan Marine United (JMU).

The two vessels, which have been named Energy Innovator (pictured) and Energy Universe, will transport LNG from the Cove Point LNG Project in the United States to Tokyo Gas' facilities.

Each LNG carrier will have a length of 299.9 metres, a beam of 48.9 metres, a total cargo tank capacity of 165,000 cubic metres, and a speed of 19.5 knots.
