France LNG Shipping, a joint venture company owned by Japan's NYK and France's Geogas LNG, took delivery of a new LNG carrier on Thursday, March 3.
Elisa Aquila will be operated under a long-term charter with Milan-based energy company Edison. It will be engaged in LNG transportation under the ship management of Gazocean of France.
The newbuild has an LOA of 297 metres, a beam of 46.4 metres, and a total cargo tank capacity of approximately 174,000 cubic metres. Two WinGD dual-fuel engines deliver a speed of 19.5 knots.
Elisa Aquila was built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries of South Korea.
