An LNG carrier jointly owned by Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and Itochu Corporation has been delivered and has begun serving a long-term time charter with Dusseldorf-based Uniper subsidiary Uniper Global Commodities.

Built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) and sailing under the Marshall Islands flag, LNG Rosenrot has a length of 297.9 metres, a beam of 47.9 metres, a draught of 11.5 metres, a total cargo capacity of 180,000 cubic metres, and a speed of 19.5 knots.

The vessel is a near-identical sister of the 2018-built LNG Schneeweisschen, which is also currently sailing under charter with Uniper.
