MOL, Novatek ink charters for LNG carrier quartet

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), through a subsidiary, has entered into time charter contracts for four newbuilding LNG carriers with Singapore-based Novatek Gas and Power Asia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Russia's Novatek.

The vessels will be constructed at Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering in South Korea and are slated for delivery in 2024.

Each ship will have a total cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic metres, a cargo reliquefaction system, and a MAN main engine.
