Flex LNG, through one of its subsidiaries, has entered into a long-term charter with Clearlake Shipping, a subsidiary of Geneva-based Gunvor Group.

The period under the time charter is up to ten years where the first five years are firm.

The vessel to be employed under this time charter is currently under construction at Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME).

Commencement of the time charter will be in connection with the delivery of the ship from the yard which is scheduled for August 2020. The time charter will have elements of variable rate of hire across the charter period.

The vessel will be a large 173,400-cubic-metre LNG carrier which will sail under the name Flex Artemis.
