Russia's Zvezda Shipduilding Complex has cut the first steel for a new MR tanker ordered by SCF Group.
The ice-class vessel will operate on LNG and will be used to transport oil products as well as gas condensate. It will have a length of approximately 180 metres, a beam of 32 metres, a draught of 13 metres, and a deadweight of 50,000 tonnes.
Following delivery in 2022, the tanker will begin serving a long-term charter with a subsidiary of Novatek.
