Belgium-based Exmar has entered into an agreement with Norwegian energy company Statoil that will involve the construction of two 79,500-cubic-metre gas carriers (VLGC) to transport LPG on a sustainable basis.

Both vessels are to be delivered within 2020 and will be compliant with stringent emission regulations.

The contract reflects Exmar's efforts to support industrial partners with innovative shipping solutions.
