Russia's Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex recently held a steel-cutting ceremony to mark the start of construction of a new MR product tanker for local shipowner SCF Group.
The 180- by 32-metre vessel will be powered by LNG and will be built to transport oil products as well as gas condensate. It will also be capable of year-round sailing in the Baltic Sea thanks to its ice class 1B notation.
Upon delivery, the vessel will begin sailing under a long-term charter with a company under the Novatek group.
