Capital Product Partners to acquire LNG carrier trio

Athens-based shipowner Capital Product Partners (CPP) has agreed to acquire three 174,000-cubic-metre LNG carriers from CGC Operating Corporation for a total consideration of US$599.5 million.

The three vessels are the 2020-built Aristos I (pictured) and the 2021-built Aristarchos and Aristidis I. All three ships were constructed by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) of South Korea.

Aristos I and Aristarchos will be delivered to CPP by September 15, while Aristidis I will be delivered by the end of November 2021.

Aristos I and Aristidis I are currently under long-term time charters with BP Gas Marketing while Aristarchos is under a long-term time charter with Cheniere Marketing International.
