Avenir LNG has confirmed that its newest LNG bunkering vessel, Avenir Allegiance, has been launched into the water for the first time.

Built by CIMC Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering (CIMC SOE) at Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard in China, the 20,000-cubic-metre newbuilding will be the world's largest dual-purpose, LNG supply and bunkering vessel once completed.

Avenir Allegiance will sail under the flag of the Cayman Islands.
