China Shipbuilding Chengxi Ship Repair, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, has completed sea trials of a new bulk carrier ordered by South Korea's Samra Midas Group.

China Shipbuilding Chengxi said the trials, which were carried out over a span of four days in the East China Sea, were successfully completed despite instances of inclement weather and challenging sea conditions with wind speeds of up to 34 knots.

The unnamed 82,000DWT vessel is the fifth that China Shipbuilding Chengxi is building for Samra Midas.
