Dutch shipyard Royal Bodewes has received an order for a third cargo vessel in a series from UK's Scotline Marine Holdings.

The 4,800DWT Scot Ranger will be an identical sister of Scot Carrier (pictured), which was delivered last November, and Scot Explorer, which is scheduled to be launched and completed in the third quarter of this year.

The Swedish/Finnish ice class 1B vessel will be powered by a Caterpillar/Mak 6M25C main engine.

Scot Ranger will take the place of a similarly named 20-year-old vessel that Scotline had sold off in January.
