Russian shipyard Krasnoye Sormovo has handed over four new dry cargo vessels in a series to local conglomerate Alfa Group.
Leonid Pestrikov, Nikolay Leonov, Alfa Helios, and Alfa Hermes all belong to the Project RSD59 series of vessels that are capable of both inland and coastal sailings.
The newbuilds each have a length of 140.88 metres, a beam of 16.98 metres, a maximum draught of 4.53 metres, and a sea deadweight of 7,535 tonnes. The ships' cargo holds are designed for the transport of general and bulk cargo such as packaged lumber, round timber, scrap metal, metal in bundles and rolls, coal, and dangerous goods.
