Italian shipping company Grimaldi Group has added six Ro-Ros to its order at Jinling Shipyard, bringing the total number of new vessels being built there for Grimaldi to twelve.
Grimaldi ordered the initial six Ro-Ros in April this year for a total price of over US$400 million. The new vessels have doubled the overall price to US$800 million.
The new vessels will have a length of 238 metres, a beam of 34 metres and a gross tonnage of 64,000 tonnes. They will be able to transport over 7,800 linear metres of rolling units.
