MOL orders four LNG-fueled car carriers from Japanese yards

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has entered into an agreement with Japanese shipbuilders Shin Kurushima Dockyard and Nihon Shipyard for the construction of four car carriers in a series.

The newbuildings will each have capacity for 7,000 CEUs and engines that will utilise LNG as their main fuel.

The vessels are scheduled for delivery to MOL beginning in 2024.
