Höegh Autoliners has awarded a contract for the construction of four multi-fuel pure car and truck carriers (PCTCs) in a series.

The newly ordered vessels will belong to the same series as four 9,100CEU PCTCs that were ordered by Höegh in China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu). Höegh retains its option for another four vessels until the end of July 2023.

All eight vessels will have DNV's ammonia and methanol ready notation, with the main engine on each ship provided by MAN and the bridge system supplied by Kongsberg.
