China's CIMC Raffles has been awarded a contract to build six new pure car carriers (PCCs) for Swedish operator Wallenius Lines.

The vessels will each measure 200 by 37 metres and have capacity for 6,500 CEUs as well as dual-fuel engines that can also operate on LNG.

The PCCs were designed by Knud E. Hansen.
